Sunset Peak in the Angeles National Forest rises to 3,464 feet, and it’s the perfect little mountain to chase those dreamy, golden-hour views. The trail is like a mix of forest hide-and-seek and rocky ridge adventure; you’ll weave through shaded pines, scramble over granite outcrops, and feel the wind whip through your hair as the summit comes into view.

 

Once you reach the top, the payoff is glorious: sweeping 360° vistas of the San Gabriel Mountains, nearby peaks like Strawberry Peak, and the sprawling Los Angeles Basin below.
