About the event
Close out the RYP journey with the ultimate alpine challenge… a full Mt Baldy loop that tags multiple peaks and iconic landmarks along the way. We’ll summit Mount San Antonio (10,064 ft), along with West Baldy and Mount Harwood, while also passing the historic Sierra Club Ski Hut and the scenic San Antonio Falls.
This 12+ mile route gains roughly 4,000 feet of elevation and delivers a full spectrum of terrain, from shaded forest trails to exposed ridgelines and rugged alpine climbs.
We’ll move through the heart of the San Gabriel Mountains, stacking summits and milestones along the way:
Mt Baldy (Mount San Antonio), the highest point in LA County
West Baldy, offering a quieter, equally stunning perspective
Mount Harwood, a rugged peak just off the main ridge
